I believe that if you work hard you can spend the fruits of your labors however you like. If you want to live, get fat and die you have that right. Just spend a few minutes in a mall and you will see many who could - loose stubborn belly fat and not miss it.
For those of us who are purpose driven and believe we have a destiny and purpose for our existence know that we have a responsibility to care for our bodies so that we can live our maximum life span and be the most we can. I had to find how to lose body fat in light of my limited mobility at the time.
See I desire to be around for my kids and their kids and their kid’s kids. My Grandmother is 96 years old and still driving. I look forward to being around and a positive influence on my family as she has been, so I need to stay healthy.
I know it’s not always easy to Strip Fat and do the things eliminating belly fat. I did the simple things. I begin considering what I was eating. High fat foods that taste real good – I shrank the portions on. Slowly eliminating the amount of fatty foods I was taking in. In addition I added some physical exercise. Running was not an option so I just simply started adding a little exercise to burn what fat I could. Lastly I added some higher levels (quantity) of vitamins. In my case I upped my C & B intake.

Those of you who know me probable had to do a double take when reading the title of this post. Yes I’m known for personal responsibility. I do believe that changing anything starts with taking responsibility. It does not matter if it is: poor athletic performance, troubled business or our health.
However a great deal of responsibility “fault” lies on our selfish society no doubt. Retailers and advertiser do not have your best interest at heart. They are not responsible for your health just their profits so they can pay their employees etc… And selfishness is not something the government will ever be able to regulate though they will try through taxation.
Before I go any further it is important to understand that a small percentage of the population about 8% (This percentage is something I remember reading in a medical journal a while back so it may not be total accurate) of people trying to figure out how to lose body weight are overweight because of some medical conditions. The remainders of us are overweight because of lack of discipline and knowledge that many times will lead to medical condition.
It’s not your fault that sugar tastes so good… It’s not your fault that fatty meats taste so good… It’s not your fault that French fries taste so good… unfortunately it is our fault when we don’t use self control and self-control is hard for anyone. I know because I love chocolate-chip cookies and even chocolate-chip cookie dough ice cream but that is what had me looking for the best way to eliminate belly fat…
The good news is you don’t have to remain trapped where you are. I’m not suggesting the cold turkey approach because that doesn’t work for a lot of people. How about next time you decide to have that bowl of ice-cream you try 1 1/2 scoops instead of 2. Just start by cutting back a little and get some help… we all know we all can use it. Take care of your body it’s the only one you have.

There’s nothing like feeling Good.
You know this is true. When you are living healthy you feel better and you know that. So why do so many people continue to live with the excess fat that they have accumulated? Remember from my previous posts that I have been over weight. According to a chart that was in my chiropractors office I was “GROSSLY OVER WEIGHT”
Now I didn’t feel grossly overweight, I had just gained a few extra pounds – right? I knew that was not the case. When I would look in the mirror I could see the fat (extra tire) around my waist and hips.
I’m thankful that those days are behind me. I had to take charge and implement some very basic steps:
1. Reduce the amount I was taking in.
I didn’t do anything drastic. I just would say to myself – normally I would have 1 hamburger with all the toppings and a large handful of chips, so today I will have a hamburger with only the bun top and a medium handful of chips.
I applied this to each meal.
You may ask if I was hungry – and the answer is sometimes I was. But it was not because I needed food it was because my body had developed a habit of having a larger amount of food. This feeling of hunger left after a couple weeks.
Tip: Fill in you hunger pains with something healthy: Carrots, apple, seeds etc.

2. Added the amount of exercise I was getting.
I can hear the moans already as I’m writing this because you are thinking buying the health club membership, jogging etc. That’s not what I’m talking about. Asses what you are doing right now. If you current exercise plan is walking from the car to your desk in the office and back after work has ended that is your starting point.
Here is what I did. I would walk out of my office and across the parking lot once a day to start. Then after a few weeks I started walking around the block. Before long I was doing 2 blocks then 3 then I bought an elliptical machine. I built little by little until now I’ve lost 68 lbs.
